Spanish Colonial

This home represents some of our finest work. We maintained an extraordinary working relationship with our clients throughout the process. Shortly after their move-in, they threw an amazing catered party complete with musicians and an ice sculpture for our team and all of the subcontractors and their families. We were given the opportunity to enjoy and admire, for one fabulous evening, the fruits of our collective labor. It was quite gratifying to realize that our clients were extremely pleased with our people, the collaborative process, and of course, the product.

The owners envisioned a Spanish Mission style home, reminiscent of 1920's Santa Barbara. To coincide with their vision, we created a lush, tropical ambience with their landscaping. Therefore, we went to great lengths to locate and acquire five large king date palms. It was quite a challenge to have them transported and planted prior to framing the home. We employed a 200-ton crane to plant them just after the pouring of the foundation. It was essential that we keep them irrigated, drained, and protected throughout the 21-month construction phase of the home. The owners and our team have been delighted with the result, as we are each time we craft and execute creative solutions to challenges, big and small.
