The striking Umbria inspired architecture features an interesting array of massing, texture and color. The design optimizes the lakefront setting with arresting sightlines and vistas while capturing the prevailing breezes. The floor plan wraps two internal courtyards while allowing natural cross lighting and ventilation in many of the rooms. We incorporated sustainable features such as reclaimed roof tile, reclaimed timbers and beams, reclaimed white oak flooring, tankless water heaters, 26 Seer HVAC system, Argon filled low E windows and doors, and recycled cellulose wall and ceiling insulation. Interior finishes included a muted color palette of hand troweled Venetian plaster walls throughout the home, chiseled edge limestone floors, and simple understated tile work.
